Everyone is invited to visit Shaw Nature Reserve!
Visitors may come as individuals, families, with friends or as part of group tour. Registering for an advanced e-ticket is recommended before your visit as some time slots frequently sellout, particularly weekend mornings. Children 12 and younger and Missouri Botanical Garden members are free. Adult tickets cost $5. Purchase e-tickets and learn more about current policies at Shaw Nature Reserve.
Shaw Nature Reserve is open year-round, 7-days a week, but is closed on some major holidays.
The last entry into Shaw Nature Reserve is 30 minutes prior to the posted closing time.
While Shaw Nature Reserve is best seen by foot, there are opportunities for everyone, from the energetic hiker to someone who requires a wheelchair. Learn more about hikes and trails at Shaw Nature Reserve.
The one-mile Pinetum Loop Road is open to cars daily, circling Pinetum Lake and providing easy access to the Whitmire Wildflower Garden and the Bascom House. The three-mile Trail House Loop Road is open to cars daily (unless weather makes it unsafe) and provides easy access to the Trail House, the trails leads to the Meramec River, and our wetland.
